Hyundai have released this teaser image of its upcoming subcompact SUV and also divulged its moniker as Kona.
The Korean automaker has taken the name from a district on Hawaii island and states that the island’s “energetic image and unique lifestyle matches the all-new Hyundai Kona’s dynamic character”.
The Kona will be based on Hyundai’s i30 and is expected to include technology such as advanced driver aids as well as a premium infotainment system.
The model will sit below Hyundai’s Tucson in the line-up and is expected to compete cars like the Mazda CX-3 and Toyota C-HR and Ford Ecosport.
