The all-new Hyundai Tucson, which makes its debut in SA next year, has scored well in safety tests in Europe and the US.
In the US it was awarded with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award, and in the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) it scored a five-star rating.
Thomas Schmid, chief operating officer of Hyundai Motor Europe, commented: “The All-New Tucson introduces a wide array of new safety technologies, such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, at an accessible price. The five-star rating from Euro NCAP is further evidence that quality and safety are built into our new cars.”
